The name Dysnomia has its origin in the Greek deity of the same name, which refers to the concept of civil disobedience and disrespect to the laws. The band began its activities in June 2007 in the city of São Carlos with the formation - João Jorge (Guitars/Vocal), Julio Cambi (Guitar), Denilson Sarvo (Bass) and Érik Robert (Drums).
In 2009 Dysnomia released their first record, a Promo-Demo with four tracks, produced by the band itself in partnership with Jeff Solaris.
In 2013 the band released their official EP titled "As Chaos Descends", the recordings were made by Luciano Matuck (Matuck Studio), mastered by Heros Trench (Mr. Som Studio) and featured the work of Marcus Lorenzet (Art Spell) for the cover art.
In 2016 Dysnomia released their debut titled "Proselyte", containing 7 unreleased tracks and the re-recording of "The Storm Arrives", the album was recorded at Nova Studio by Gabriel do Vale, featured the cover art by Gustavo Sazes and was released In partnership with Heavy Metal Rock.
In 2016 the band had a change in its formation with the departure of Julio Cambi and the entrance of Fabrício Pereira, continuing the work.
